Tracking your links is not rocket science and a very important part of your online business to understand where your traffic is coming from .

The shortening, curating and sharing of URLs, something Bitly calls “bitmarks” is actually very easy to do . Creating an account isn’t necessary, but account users are able to gain stats on their bitmarks and compare these to the total number of clicks and “saves” against a specific URL.

After creating your account on Bitly , simple copy the URL into bitly and then use the bitmark in your post , blog or e -mail campaigns . You will be able to see exactly from where the click came from , which country and how many you received on a specific campaign .

I even use them when posting to different social media platforms so that i can see which of my campaigns are the most effective and works the best .
